So I just used my very last Lysol disinfecting/sanitizing wipe!! Never realized what a precious commodity these things are! Crazy times we live in. So I had to get creative. Here is how to make homemade disinfecting wipes with only 2 ingredients.
STEP 01: GATHER INGREDIENTS
The first ingredient is Lysol liquid multi-surface cleaner that I just happened to have in my cupboard. You can get it here. I usually dilute it in my mop water. I have a feeling you could use most any disinfecting liquid cleaner.
I am not a chemist so be sure to test it and use gloves when handling it.
Second ingredient is a package of baby wipes. I love the Kirkland brand because they don’t tear easily. Which is kinda important when you are using it to scrub surfaces clean.
I get them in bulk at Costco, well, at least I used to before the line started wrapping around the building!
Here is the same brand of baby wipes on Amazon!
Extra tools: Permanent Marker & Measuring Cup
STEP 02: ADD THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER
I poured about a 1/2 cup of the liquid Lysol to the package of wipes. Be sure to use a measuring cup with a spout.
The wipes quickly soaked it all up. I feel like I may end up adding more as I use the wipes on the top but we will see.
STEP 03: LABEL YOUR CREATION
Don’t forget to label your new disinfecting wipes! The last thing you want to do is use these on a baby bum or a child’s face!
I hope this helps!
